Obituary for James A. Bonner

James A. Bonner, age 81, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away on February 21, 2019 at Edward Hospital. He was born on January 10, 1938 in Waukegan, IL.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Shirley A. Bonner (nee Darrow); his loving children, Judith (Kevin) Smith, Donnie (Fiona) Bonner, Tammie (Todd) Smith; his eight cherished grandchildren; his dear sisters, Luann (Martin) Santoyo, Frankie (Charlie) Rome and Shawn (John) Russell; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Silas Francis Bonner and Eleanor Mae Bonner (nee Young); and his son, Keith Bonner.

Jim was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge #1535 in Downers Grove, IL and retired from Naperville School District #203 after many years of service.

For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Jim's life, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. A private family inurnment will be at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
